Fireworks International, a division of the UK's ContentFilm, has racked up a number of sales for Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda, following Mipcom last week.

Among the deals are: Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) licensing series five for its AXN channels in Japan, Israel and central Europe; Calle 13/Universal picking up the rights to season five for Spain; Tele Muenchen Fernseh for the same in Germany; Euro TV has acquired all five seasons for cabsat broadcast in France; and ERT in Greece has signed a deal for the first 44 episodes. Home video rights to season five, meanwhile, have gone to Contender Entertainment in the UK and Force Video in Oz.

Fireworks has also signed three further deals with SPTI. The AXN channel in central Europe has acquired a third season of Mutant X and Relic Hunter, along with a second series of 18 Wheels of Justice; AXN Germany has signed on for Queen of Swords, in addition to the first 52 one-hour episodes of crime series Cold Squad; and AXN Israel has picked up season three of The Collector.
