:: Return to Mississippi

Return to Mississippi retells the story of the Neshoba County murders and the ‘Mississippi Burning’ trial. Three civil rights workers disappeared while teaching and registering African American voters for the 1964 US federal election. On August 4th of that year, the bodies of Andrew Goodman, James Chaney, and Mickey Schwerner were recovered from an earthen dam. Has the work that Chaney, Goodman, and Schwerner started 40 years ago been successful? Or is the work of the slain workers still undone?
