The Assistants is a hilarious comedy series about the misadventures of four Hollywood assistants in the film industry as they experience the coolest and cruelest jobs imaginable while catering to every unpredictable whim of their boss; eccentric mega movie producer Zac del Toro. Young aspiring writer and filmmaker Gillian Hughes along with fellow assistants Danny Newell - the office bad boy and Gillian’s potential love interest, Rigby Hastings - the stunningly beautiful super achiever and Gillian’s nemesis, and Gillian’s best friend and office clown, Nate Warren, struggle not to crack under the pressure of a buzzing Hollywood production office. They answer phones, sort files, make coffee, clean dental retainers, sabotage celebrity rehabs and in general, do anything, at any time in hopes of winning over their irrepressible boss. Follow the assistants as they try to figure out who they are, what they want, and how far they’ll go to succeed while looking up at the world from the lowest rung of the Hollywood food chain.
